Maple Green Beans and Bacon
8 rashes of bacon (2 per person) - Green beans for 4 - 1-2 oz. Maple syrup - Pinch of garlic powder - Wall nuts (optional)
Cook bacon. Pat dry and cut each piece of bacon into about 10 pieces (roughly 1/2") then set aside. Par boil fresh green beans and cook until Al Dante, then drain & set aside. Heat frypan on mediumhigh then add Maple syrup (enough to just coat the green beans). After 1520 seconds, add the beans & bacon and garlic powder. There's enough salt in the bacon so I don't add any extra. Sauté for 58 minutes, tossing frequently. (Optional: Add some Wall nuts or Pecans when you Sauté) - Serves 4.
